NCA National Anthem Policy Statement

The National Citizens Alliance (NCA) believes that in order to promote unity, we need to create greater conditions for patriotism and embracement of our traditional identity, heritage, cultural norms and values.

It is through unity that we the Canadian people will attain our greatest security and prosperity.

The National Citizens Alliance supports the following:

● Reverting back to the original lyrics of the Canadian national anthem first written in 1880 and officially adopted in 1980

● Amending the National Anthem Act 1980 by including voluntary requirement on all schools across the country for teachers and students to sing the national anthem on school days

● Encouraging schools across the country on a voluntary basis to implement singing the national anthem as part of their daily routine

● Providing federal funding for flags in classrooms across the country

The National Citizens Alliance supports the idea of re-instituting our Father’s prayer in public schools, which will help reinforce the moral framework of Canada and protect and enhance the Judeo-Christian basis of Canada. However, we realize that due to current realities that this re-institution would open the floodgates to all religions/ideologies in the public schools. Therefore, we support no religion in public schools.

The National Citizens Alliance is committed to national advancement of the country. This advancement is predicated on national unity.
