Aboriginal Sovereignty

Royal Proclamation of 1863

The National Advancement Party of Canada (NAPC) Aboriginal policy is based on the inherent recognition of Canadian Aboriginals as the first nations of Canada (First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Mi’kmaq), the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and NAPC democratic values including freedom, transparency, accountability, and inclusion. The foundation of the NAPC Aboriginal policy is a people-based democracy: government by, for, and of the people.
